The

Mount Vision Trail

Is Hosted by TCATV Association Inc.

As you might expect, the Mt. Vision Trail, in Otsego County, definitely lives up to its name. It is truly a mountain trail! Rated intermediate to expert, this mountain trail offers a challenging ride complete with tight technical wooded trails, logging trails and steep hill climbs. There are also two OPTIONAL black diamond trails that are for" EXPERT "riders only. These trails include "shale stair steps" down a steep hill and riding that goes along the outside of a ridge.

Experienced riders will find the climb up the mountain most enjoyable. The "switchbacks" on the way up break up the climb and make it fun. Once you are on top of the mountain you are privy to some very scenic views and trails that very few riders have ever seen.

The steep decent off the mountain, intimidating to even the most experienced riders, Although it looks impossible, we assure you that it is not! It is steep, but it is mowed and level all the way down. Just shift into low and down you go!!

Be aware, this trail is a "2 way" trail. OHV traffic could be traveling in either direction.

Important note:

This trail is a reality because of the cooperation of several of the local farmers. Sections of this trail go through their fields and next to fenced in areas that contain livestock. Please be respectful.

Stay on the trail

and go slow next to the farms and the animals. If you.

happen to see one of the landowners, be sure to wave as you go by!

Caution:

The fence by the horse farm is a high voltage electric fence.

Parking:

Park at the Cowbarn. Access the trail behind the barn.

NOTE* To show respect to our landowners and Mount Vision residents living near the trail, all ATV's are required to have stock factory exhaust.

 (NO PIPED or LOUD ATV'S

We stress this as we have members who live near the trail who can hear it and trail monitors to enforce this. We want all to enjoy the trail and ask for your cooperation.

Note

** The Mount Vision Trail is a clean trail and so we ask that you help keep it that way by following the rule of

What You Carry In You Carry Out" !

Just a few photo's to show that the

 Mt Vision Trail

may be small

(10 -15 miles ) but the trail has it all.

Top photo is an approach to one of the

" Expert "

sections of the trail.

Second one down is looking

"Down  In  The Valley

The Valley So Low"

as seen from scenic point above.

Third one down is of

" Dave's Play Pen"

(Lee & Steve) playing in the mud & both got stuck.

Bottom photo is the standard trail sign in one of the field area's, telling us to

" Respct the Landowner"

"Staying On The Trail"
